GEOFF MULCAHY
Pictured with the Grade 1 placed, Summer Applause.
10 years into operating a successful Thoroughbred training business and Geoff still draws on the early lessons in horsemanship taught to him by his father a veterinarian. In the rich Golden Vale agricultural region of Ireland, where Geoff was raised, he was further exposed to the type of Thoroughbred knowledge that can only be acquired through generations of participation.
With an eye on horses and a desire to study, Geoff completed a bachelors degree in Equine Science. Determined to see the world and learn the cultural differences in Thoroughbred racing and training practices he pursued jobs with the industry leaders in France, England, South Africa, and Saudi Arabia.
When Geoff arrived in America, he spent time working throughout the country before settling into the horse capital of the world, Lexington Kentucky.
With his wife Sandra and their three children he has created one of the premier equine operations of central Kentucky.

SANDRA MULCAHY
Pictured with Stormello (a grade 1 winner).
Sandra might be one of the few who is capable of competing with the vast experiences held by Geoff. Raised in a different county, in the same region of Ireland, she was riding horses from a young age.
Her keen handling of a horse has been refined through years of work in England, France, Italy, and Argentina.
Arriving in Kentucky in 2002 to continue learning the global Thoroughbred trade she was quickly employed by the best operations in the area. Sandra now spends her time working alongside her husband and she is a driving force behind the success of both Golden Vale Farm and Mulcahy Stables.
